The Mancomunidad del Sureste de Gran Canaria (from the Canary Islands), a member of the Spanish WinWind National Stakeholder Desk, has just received the 2018 Eolo Prize for the "Best Integration of Wind Energy in Rural Contexts" (Premio Eolo a la Integración Rural de la Eólica 2018). This award acknowledges the efforts of communities that integrate wind energy in their strategies for economic development.
In the frame of the IV Spanish National Wind Energy Conference, the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) paid tribute this week to the Mancomunidad with a video compiling testimonies from local authorities and civil society about how wind energy has had an impact in their lives.
