The SICS 2018 (Seminario Internacional de las Comarcas Sostenibles), is a renowned event organized by las Comarcas del Sureste de Gran Canaria that was held for the 13th time on 16 and 17 May 2018. Roland Schumann from ACER, participated in the event on behalf of WinWind. He presented on the situation of Renewable Energy in the Canary Islands in the frame of a Round Table.
Other participants in the Round Table were Rafael Martell, the president of the Canarian Wind Energy Association, Juan Virgilio, of the Spanish Wind Energy Association and José María González, from the Spanish Renewable Energy Association.
The conference was organized by Mancomunidad del Sureste, a suprainsular body that is grouping three municipalities (Agüimes, Ingenio, Santa Lucía). In its 13th edition, the SICS 2018 aims to bring the Plan Sureste Sostenible beyond the boundaries of the island of Gran Canaria.
