The workshop discussed proposals on how to strengthen social acceptance and community engagement in renewable energy, with a particular focus enabling factors, and drivers for social acceptance of wind energy, all over Europe. The event also explored how the EU Clean Energy for All Package will impact on policies and actions at the local level, also with regard to community engagement.  

A ‘Marketplace of Best Practices’ showcased valuable examples of how different actors work together to successfully achieve socially-inclusive wind energy projects. Participants had the opportunity to actively join in the discussion by making the connection to their own context and to reflect on criteria for fair wind energy development.
