WinWind results presented in Canada

Maria Rosaria Di Nucci, coordinator of the WinWind project, presented the preliminary  project results on October 16, 2019 at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

The invited speech entitled “Wind Energy Social Acceptance: Forces, Factors and Policy Frameworks at Play in Europe” illustrated insights from the WinWind Project coordinated by FFU to a Canadian audience of scholars, academic staffs, civil soiety and students. It was held at the Policy Lab, in the iconic CIRS Building and organized by the Institute for European Studies in cooperation with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS).

The CIRS (Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability) is UBC’s first LEED Platinum certified building, a “living laboratory” that will help to advance research and innovation on global sustainability challenges. The senior researcher stay at the UBC takes place within the framework of the University Alliance between the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of British Columbia.
