Stakeholder Desks

Poland

The Polish National Desk has been launched by The Polish National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE) at the beginning of the project as a one of the key project initiative. KAPE as a National Desk coordinator, identified key national and regional stakeholders, in particular from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, one of the WESRs covered in WinWind, with a large influence on policy and/or social acceptance. Stakeholders include decision makers, associations of wind investors and NGOs.

The initial meeting of Polish National Desk was organized on 22nd of February 2018 by KAPE. As an outcome of the fruitful first discussion, three central lines of action were identified:

  1. Information and education (debunking myths, presentation of wind energy profits for society and economy, detection of technological development);
  2. Identification of possibilities for civil society and local authorities to engage in wind investments;
  3. Creation of a best practices catalogue.

The participants of this first meeting build the core group of the national desk. The members of teh core group will actively shape the desk's activities, while other stakeholders will be asked to contribute with opinions and suggestions to the national desk's work.
